The prime minister formed a committee under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik. The IT minister and the Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis will be members of the committee.
Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) will also be members.
The heads of the Pakistan Digital Authority (PDA) and the National IT Board will be part of the committee. The Secretary Overseas Pakistanis, Secretary IT and Additional Secretary Interior will serve as members.
The committee will propose a new mechanism regarding passengers travelling abroad. It will also recommend alignment of the protector stamp system with international standards.
