DPO Layyah Holds Introductory Meeting with District Media, Distributes Helmets to Motorcyclists

Layyah – District Police Officer (DPO) Layyah, Hassan Javed Bhatti, held an introductory meeting with representatives of print and electronic media across the district, during which helmets were also distributed free of cost to motorcyclists. This marked his first official interaction with journalists after assuming command of Layyah Police.
Addressing the meeting, DPO Bhatti said he is committed to enforcing the law, improving peace and order, and ensuring timely justice for citizens. He emphasized that making Layyah a crime-free district is a top priority. To curb crime, night patrolling has been activated, and the Haider Squad is being mobilized. For road safety, awareness campaigns are being conducted in educational institutions, public areas, and main roads, alongside the distribution of free helmets to motorcycle riders.
Highlighting the role of media, the DPO stated that journalists are the backbone of society, responsible for reflecting social issues and pointing out institutional gaps. He urged the media to maintain professional and constructive journalism, promoting positive initiatives while refraining from unnecessary interference in institutional work. He assured that all journalists in Layyah enjoy equal respect and that his office doors remain open for them. During the session, journalists raised concerns regarding police affairs, public grievances, driving licenses, case registrations, and other matters. DPO Bhatti listened attentively and assured timely resolution of all issues.
