
According to details surfaced on Tuesday, the British universities have themselves approached Pakistan to provide high-quality education to Pakistani students. The grand launch of a degree programme by a university included in the Top Fifty Gold Status Universities took place in Islamabad.
The British High Commissioner, Jane Marriott, said that Pakistani students will now be able to earn British degrees while remaining in Pakistan.
Minister for Law Barrister Aqeel said that the high standard of British education has come to Pakistan on its own.
Internationally recognised standards of education and British university degrees are now available in Pakistan.
Top Fifty Gold Status Universities have launched their programmes in Pakistan, opening significant opportunities for higher education.
Degree programmes from the British universities will be offered in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Lahore, Faisalabad and Bahawalpur, sources said.
Jane Marriott emphasised that this will allow Pakistani students to experience the quality of British education within Pakistan.
Neha Mudassir, an organiser, said that students in Pakistan will follow the UK curriculum at a fraction of the cost.
Barrister Aqeel termed the British degree programme in Pakistan as a major opportunity for students, noting that it brings the same quality as British universities.
Parents attending the grand launch expressed satisfaction, noting that internationally recognised high-quality education is now available in the country at lower costs
